“Van Gogh Cottage” is situated in the charming village called Nuenen, in the garden of the counsil house which dates from 1734.
Inspired by the beautiful Brabant nature, Vincent Van Gogh lived and worked in Nuenen (1882-1885). One of the paintings which he created here is the famous masterpiece “The Patato Eaters”.
In the village you can see several buildings and landscapes exactly as they were when they inspired Vincent Van Gogh around 125 years ago.
The counsil house is one of the objects that have been treasured.
